Naše struktura – Mladí zelení

Our structure

The Young Greens are an independent association whose main goal is to support green and social policies in the Czech Republic through focused and local activities and events. The association also serves as an advisory body to the Czech Green Party in some cases, but otherwise its activities are separate from the functioning of the party. It consists of the following parts:

Chairpeople manage the daily running of the association. It consists of two co-spokespeople and 1-5 ordinary members.
Audit committee supervises compliance with the statutes and finances of the association, and checks the activities of the board.
The assembly is the highest body of the association and meets once or twice a year.

Local organisations

Local organisations are the contact points of the Young greens in local areas, which independently or jointly organise events and activities in a given region.

More about individual LOs

LO Prague and central Bohemia

Young Greens meet in Prague every three weeks. In addition to participating in nationwide campaigns, the Prague cell also organizes local community events and discussions or participates in demonstrations and direct actions organized by other activist associations. Write to us and come meet!

LO Brno and south Moravia

We currently support collectives such as Universities for Climate or Black Wings over Brno through our participation in demonstrations and meetings. In the future, we plan to devote more attention to the issue of car traffic and the disadvantaged position of pedestrians in our city. The Green Party, with which we cooperate, has one of the strongest positions and bases in Brno across the country, so in the future we would like to devote ourselves to our city through municipal politics in addition to activist activities.

LO Ostrava

The Young Greens in Ostrava work closely with the Young Social Democrats of the Moravian-Silesian Region, with whom they organized the Social-Green TALKS discussion format as part of Climate Week. They also participated in the Klimakemp and are actively engaged in the problem of light pollution, in which they collaborate with the well-known light designer Hynek Medřický.

LO Pilsen

The Young Greens in Pilsen are a very active local organization, participating in Pilsen Pride, for example. They are also involved in the Dešťovka pro Bolevák campaign and other ecological activities.

LO Olomouc

The Young Greens in Olomouc founded their organization on May 9, 2023 in the Dobrá čajovná. Michaela Vojtěchovská was elected coordinator.
